Canyon Lake survives summer of 2012 with most of its water

This is a picture of the control tower for Canyon Lake.  You can see the depth readings running vertically up the right side of the round structure.  Also note the water mark near the bottom of the tower.  Typically we see the water at the point where the darker concrete meets the lighter concrete.  We are very lucky the lake is only about six feet below the conservation pool.  Many of the Hill Country lakes suffered this summer as a result of the drought.  We are supposed to shift into an El Nino weather cycle by November and with it the chances of rain should increase.  I think I’ll end this blog with a nice sunset picture.  Enjoy.
