The greatly anticipated opening of Gennaro’s Trattoria was January 18th. Jean and I made our first trip there for lunch last Friday. The first thing you notice as you approach the restaurant is the beautiful landscaping that surrounds the newly renovated building. Upon entering the restaurant itself there are beautiful murals depicting Italian pastoral scenes. The attention to every detail is obvious in this little piece of Italy in the Texas Hill Country at Canyon Lake. The decor definitely prepared us for the food as everthing was excellent. Gennaro’s should be a must on your list of restaurants when you visit Canyon Lake. Here is their printable menu .
