July 4th, 2025 Guadalupe River Flood

We are grateful that Canyon Lake was spared from the severe flooding that struck the Upper Guadalupe near Kerrville during the July 4th weekend. Canyon Lake is gradually rising, fulfilling its role in managing floodwaters moving through the Guadalupe River. As of July 7, 2025, the lake remains 20 feet below its normal level, but it is expected to continue rising slowly over the coming weeks. This inflow is a vital boost for our region, now in its fourth year of severe drought. Our hearts go out to the families and communities impacted by the devastating floods in Kerrville. We mourn their losses and keep them in our prayers during this challenging time.
